The most crucial phase in any flooring job is the preparation phase. Modern diamond grinders and a self-contained vacuum system are used by The Epoxy Pros to forge an unbreakable mechanical link with the substrate. After unloading the machinery, our staff will assess the density of the concrete to determine which diamond blades will work best for grinding your floor.

Next, we will grind the entire floor’s surface. This is a crucial step since it opens the concrete material and profiles the substrate. The edges will then be smoothed down by our team using a manual grinder.

It is crucial that the floor be completely ready for the coating on every square inch. The Epoxy Pros combine a polyaspartic topcoat with an epoxy basecoat. The coating can be applied to vertical surfaces including foundation walls, cinder blocks, wooden baseboards, and wooden steps.

This stage includes washing the surface of all particles and grinding the surface.

Hairline fractures in concrete pads are a regular occurrence. While these cracks are normal, they must be opened with a diamond cutting wheel so that mortar or polyurea filler can be applied. The filler heals in around twenty-five minutes after application, which is quick.

The floor needs to be very smooth and free of any obvious fractures. Floors frequently have salt pits or other small areas of wear and tear, but in order to have a perfect, smooth surface, these areas also need to be filled and leveled.

We will vacuum the floor once the grinding procedure is complete to ensure that all dust and debris have been eliminated.

The Epoxy Pros offers a 1- or 2-day system that combines an epoxy basecoat and a polyaspartic top coating. The size of your floor will determine which system we select.

With the one-day system, you can resume normal foot traffic and usage the next day, up to a 250-pound weight restriction. On the second day after the application, you can resume normal foot traffic and usage with the 2-day system. 48 hours after completion, the floor is entirely healed with any system.

We will mix the 2 components by adding pigment to the base coat chosen by our customer’s choice of pre-blended vinyl flakes. To achieve 100% coverage, roll the base coat onto all vertical surfaces first, then liberally apply the flakes.

Our team will vacuum the extra material from the floor prior to applying the base coat. Next, we’ll cover the whole floor with the base coat. 

After that, our team will back-roll it after using a squeegee to apply a clear finish. This will ensure that the topcoat is thick and even throughout, leaving a steady, long-lasting finish.

Topcoat Specifications:

• 12 hours to cure for light foot traffic
• 24 hours for daily usage
• 48 hours before contents can be returned to the garage
• 96 hours for regular vehicle traffic usage
